Pets and Portraits

Our pets are precious, but sadly they tend not to live long enough! Having a hand drawn portrait of your best buddy is a wonderful way to keep their memory alive in your heart. Portraits (human and animal) are done from photos you supply and cost $500 for a single portrait on A3 paper (pencil or pastel).

Tips on taking good photos:

Use natural light and avoid harsh shadows; have them looking at th camera(use toys or treats if need to be get them to focus on you); make sure the eyes and nose details are sharply in focus and crisp, and the overall image is in focus; take the phot from their level rather than looking down on them.

Framed or unframed?

Prints are sold as stretch canvas that is ready to hang. Originals and commissions are generally sold unframed unless specified.

Art classes: What art materials do I need to have?

This depends on what medium you wish to work in. I'll give you a list of basic's you would need depending on your medium of choice.

Do you do commissions?
